What does passion for authentic learning mean? Authentic learning is far more than completing a list of activities and marking off certain amounts of time in a classroom. When authentic learning happens, it touches all of us at a much deeper level and meets a fundamental need each of us has to continue learning and growing. How do we know authentic learning is taking place? It’s that series of “light bulb” moments that indicates a door has opened - the student gets it. With practice they CAN master the skill and move on to the next lesson.
We at Wood Educational Services live for these “light bulb” moments!
While working with a student these breakthroughs usually happen within the context of a particular lesson. Without the understanding of a given lesson, it is very challenging to move onto the next lesson and be successful. The goal of WES is to fill these gaps, build confidence, and foster the belief in one’s ability to learn ANYTHING!
We have a passion to help students obtain the firm and certain belief in themselves - the I CAN DO THIS belief - so each one may soar to his/her highest potential in life.
